It hasn’t mattered to men when women spoke softly, pleaded, or tried to reason on the violence of patriarchy but the minute we express rage at the ongoing spiral of destruction of this earth and the devaluation of the lives of women and children, we are told that’s not how to usher change. The same phenomena happens when black and brown people bring attention to patriarchal supremacist systems. Ya kya win!! One piece of gaslighting after the next that implies rage is only allowed, only natural to white men.
When I was young girl I remembered hearing about Amazon women and children who lived in community with one another, no men allowed. The women were warrior women who defended their communities from male invasion. We could use some of that energy to bring in change for women and children while men continue their apocalyptic homoerotic ambitions to conquer and control. Convincing men that giving up power will assure the wellbeing of ALL of us is like convincing white people we will ALL gain by letting go of their manufactured hierarchy.
Where is there contempt? Where did I dehumanize? Where did I ‘mandate submission?’ I shared my experience. I asked for men to stop and give the microphone to women. If you’ve listened and read my work I talk all the time about men being the first harmed in some way the most harmed by patriarchy. But VMB I can’t buy respect from men. 99% of men have sexualized me. They weren’t using my healing tools or hearing my words, they were siphoning my energy. And every. Single. Woman. I. Know. has had the same experience. It’s not enough for you to be a ‘virgin monk boy’ anymore. You need to stand up for women. You need to be loud. You need to stand up to other men. I don’t hold much respect for monks. Y’all are hiding away while a woman or child is raped every minute. You say ‘women are the new leaders’ but when a leader like myself steps forward and tells you my experience you balk and project a bunch of shit onto what I said.
