This is a powerful story that needs more awareness. So-called "modern" optics for a culture or a time fail to see God in every moment of our lives; They live their lives our like bullies on a school yard, unaware that they actions affect real lives, and unaware of their own presence. I wrote a book about my story. Spoiler alert, it didn't go as planned but God made a good life for me to walk out. He was able to empower me with the information and people that gave us the information we needed to make it thru. But our bodies do remember and trauma comes in residual forms. It's hard to be prepared for every scenario. Choosing to give this to God is our blessing in it's own form for us individually. In reality, they are quite sick and twisted and trying to explain it to them is like talking to a rock. It's best to walk away when you can and reclaim your sanity, but the journey is more difficult than it needs to be, and honestly I think we as a people cannot move forward until we reach this understanding as people that the emotional sabotage is a deal breaker. I think the Western church has done a lot of harm here in terms of warping the Imago Deo into a god that is unloving and whom punishes his children, when in fact, the God of Abraham is a loving God who provides abundantly for His children.
I’m not sure how we as a society got to the point where now the only thing left to divide people by is whether they are male and female. As a “white” male in the US, I am by no means racking up the number of woman I have sex with. As a matter of fact, this white male is being fucked over by the same system that you claim is so for men and women are second class citizens especially. I don’t buy it one bit.
That’s why Dr Meghan specifically stated “not all men”. Kudos to you for being one of the many men who have figured this out and have done away with the system’s programming. But you would have to agree that, in general, females have been oppressed by men for millennia, and not the other way around, wouldn’t you?
I’ve repeatedly said all of us are fucked over by the system. It is backward and upside down. No one wins. But men need to listen to women now. You need to hear that 100% of women would choose a bear to be alone in the woods with over a man. Because y’all are our #1 predator. 96.6% of rapes are at the hands of men. The majority of women have been sexually assaulted by a man. No woman I know feels safe in the world. Hear this. Hear us.

Yes, God/dess/Source is pure love, and love doesn’t punish, judge, or instill fear. S/he just loves.
